Your role at St John of God Murdoch Hospital
The Position- Contribute to the update of Release of Information (ROI), Policy Guidelines, Standards and Procedures.- Coordinate the implementation of ROI and related policies, guidelines and procedures within the Department.-
- Maintain effective relationships with Group Legal on ROI matters- Provide advice to Caregivers and customers on ROI matters.- Consult and negotiate with key stakeholders within and outside the Department, including applicants, internal staff, third parties and government agencies.- Implement effective customer focused service delivery of ROI outputs.- Assist the Health Information Manager to monitor and report on ROI performance, including the collection and analysis of statistics.- Ensure and maintain the confidentiality and security of all patient information and health records from unauthorised access- Maintain all health records inclusive of records tracking, filing, storage, archive, and destruction- Maintain and update health record information, including updating GP information and Adverse Drug Reactions as required and/or directed- Assist with quality improvement activities and audits undertaken by the department- Provide support to the Health Information Services team as required and/or directed- Receive and process requests for patient information from internal and external parties as per Hospital/Group policy and in line with appropriate privacy legislation- Maintain and monitor a ROI database.- Provision of ROI reporting.- Contribute towards security around ROI records captured in the recordkeeping system.- Continuous improvement of current process to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
You will hold well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with well-developed customer service and relationship management skills. Sound planning and organisational skills, with well-developed conceptual, analytical and research skills will be essential for the role.
To succeed you will have demonstrated knowledge of Freedom of Information and Privacy legislation and processes.
