We’re looking for an experienced **Desktop Support Team Leader** to manage our dedicated desktop support team, providing high-level technical support and guidance, while driving the performance, security, and administration of our Microsoft 365 environment. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership, mentoring, and strategic collaboration to enhance Omni’s IT operations and infrastructure.
**What You’ll Do**
As the Desktop Support Team Leader, you will:
- **Lead and mentor** a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- ** Oversee IT operations**, including technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance, to ensure the reliability and security of Omni’s IT systems.
- ** Manage Omni’s ICT infrastructure** with a focus on M365, Azure Active Directory/Entra ID, and Windows Desktop/Server, ensuring smooth daily operations and rapid issue resolution.
- ** Collaborate with vendors** and manage technical partnerships, supporting a specialized on-premises network and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- ** Drive continuous improvement** by optimizing processes, implementing best practices, and supporting employee development.
- ** Ensure cybersecurity** across Omni’s ICT systems, maintaining strict adherence to IT policies, data security standards, and compliance.
- ** Support technology projects** that advance Omni’s innovation and scalability goals, including system upgrades and new technology implementations.
- ** Report to the General Manager of Operations** on team progress, operational outcomes, and risk management.
The below key requirements are required to be demonstrated by all employees to Omni.
- Be an Australian Citizen
- Hold a current Australian Government Security Clearance or be willing to obtain one
- Have excellent communication, negotiation and relationship building skills
**In addition, this role will require**:
- Expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, Windows Desktop/Server, and Azure Cloud Services
- Tertiary qualification in IT, ICT Service Delivery or Project Management
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CISSP or PMP
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen or other continuous improvement methodologies.
