Our organization is actively recruiting for a Desktop Support Professional on a long term contract to support the Federal Government Department.

This position will be based on-site in Canberra with flexible working arrangements at the discretion of the manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process shipping consignments and receive inbound ICT assets using COPE and StarTrack portals.
  • Pack outbound shipments and receive inbound ICT equipment.
  • Configure new laptops, desktops, and high-spec devices for deployment.
  • Resolve ICT service requests and incidents logged in ServiceNow.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in configuring ICT hardware including laptops, desktops, and high-spec devices.
  • Proficiency with ICT asset management systems, particularly ServiceNow, for tracking, updating, and resolving service requests and incidents.
  • Understanding of warranty processes and ability to initiate claims with vendors.
  • Knowledge of ICT asset lifecycle management, including SIM card verification and drive wiping.

The successful candidate will provide day-to-day support for the preparation, configuration, deployment, and return of ICT assets ensuring efficient service to end users across the Department while maintaining compliance with security requirements.
