Desktop Equipment Technician

Are you a skilledDesktop Equipment Technicianwith an activeNegative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance?
We're seeking a proactive and dedicated professional for asix-month contractat a competitivemarket rate.
This role with a key federal government department offers ahybrid work arrangement, requiring you to be onsite2-3 days per weekin Canberra's CBD.
The role is scheduled to begin on or around September 8th, 2025.
In this crucial position, you'll be responsible for the full lifecycle management of all desktop hardware and peripherals, ensuring technology runs smoothly and efficiently for all staff.
Key Responsibilities
Deployment & Maintenance:Manage the deployment, maintenance, and disposal of all desktop equipment, including laptops, monitors, and peripherals.
Troubleshooting:Diagnose and resolve hardware faults on a wide range of desktop and peripheral equipment.
System Administration:Perform basic administration of endpoints, including system builds, configuration, and software installations.
Windows 11 Support:Provide hands-on support forWindows 11, including user account management and system updates.
About You
You haveproven experiencein a desktop or technical support role.
You have asolid understandingof computer hardware and peripherals.
You're experienced withWindows 11and basic endpoint administration.
You possessstrong problem-solving skillsand a meticulous attention to detail.
You haveexcellent communicationand interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a team.
Clearance & Citizenship - Non-Negotiable Requirements
MUST hold an active Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance.
MUST be an Australian citizen.
