**The Position**

The Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) plays a pivotal role in ensuring V/Line achieves its vision and objectives, through effective reform, and that the organisation is positioned to meet the current and future demands of its customers, industry, the community, and other key stakeholders

Reporting to the Executive Director Corporate Services, you will lead the transformation group as a central point of coordination for V/Line’s major transformation programs and articulate a compelling vision for V/Line, to revitalise the appetite for change and fully realise the benefits of strategic transformation. Other key deliverables include building a transformation performance framework and developing a capable and engaged Transformation group including the Enterprise Project Management Office and Governance Reform Program.

You will provide strategic leadership across multiple projects which are specialised, confidential, and complex, cross business, or organisational wide.

Success in this critical role requires a proven record in large scale transformational leadership and the capacity to thrive in a high pressure and fast paced environment. Superior communication and complex stakeholder capability are expected, along with a reputation of highest standards of accountability, empowerment and solutions focus.

Experience of working within a large transport, or infrastructure related environment and working knowledge of corporate operating systems will be well regarded.

**The Organisation**

V/Line as a brand, has provided public transport services to regional Victoria for over 30 years. Each week, V/Line schedules more than 1,997 train services and is a major employer with a workforce of 2,190 including many who live and work in regional Victoria. More than 1,462 V/Line-branded coach services connect with the rail network and serve regional Victorian communities. Private sector operators provide all V/Line-branded coach services under the management of V/Line.

V/Line values are integral to the way teams work and how the organisation treats customers and stakeholders.
