- We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Specialist on a full-time basis. This position will be based at our Support Office in Hawthorn East, just 9 kilometres from the Melbourne CBD. Our support office is a thriving, supportive and friendly environment where you will have the opportunity to work with other passionate people.
- This critical role in the Procurement Function involves implementing Benetas' Strategic Procurement Plan to meet organisational and business objectives. You will manage allocated categories, select reliable sources of supply, negotiate contracts and monitor supplier performance to achieve value for money and quality outcomes. You will also support procurement policies and procedures, facilitate compliance activities, contract management, reporting, and administrative requirements, and evaluate procurement categories based on major spending/risk to support ongoing reviews and improvements. In addition, you will partner with the business in key procurement activities to achieve shared objectives and drive process improvements. Overall, the Procurement Specialist plays a key role in ensuring that Benetas has an efficient and effective procurement function that supports the organisation's objectives.

**To thrive in the role, you will have**:

- A tertiary qualification in Business, Procurement or a related discipline with purchasing/procurement experience
- Knowledge of procurement concepts, processes, and trends
- Experience in commercial negotiations, with evidence of applied innovative thinking, persuasiveness and negotiation planning
- Analytical interpretation and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work with multiple internal and external stakeholders at all levels of an organisation
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of relevant contract law
