National energy efficiency company is seeking an experienced commercial Sales Manager to be based in Adelaide.

MAC Trade Services is a national energy efficiency services company delivering hardware solutions such as solar power, battery storage, air conditioning, hot water, LED lighting and demand management solutions, supporting more than 600 businesses and 5000 households each year.
They are the largest, oldest and regarded as the premier Activity Provider for South Australia’s Retailer Energy Productivity Scheme (REPS), delivering nearly 40% of the State’s total annual energy saving target. This is achieved through strategic partnerships with major retailers such as ZEN Energy, AGL and Origin.
**Your new role**
The role of Commercial Sales Manager is responsible for identifying and executing sales strategies to drive the growth of the business’ National renewable energy and battery business and to provide support to existing small/medium enterprise (SME) and Commercial & Industrial size solar and battery energy systems.
The successful incumbent will be highly motivated, with a track record of demonstrating initiative, executing commercial scale solar sales, acting autonomously and have strong attention to detail.
Possessing excellent interpersonal, customer service, problem solving, entrepreneurial, analytical, oral and written communication skills and substantial experience in the solar and battery industry are essential.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Proven track record of sales and business development in the commercial solar and battery industry.
- Ability to interpret technical information and diagrams
- Ability to calculate and determine solutions based on customer needs and identify solutions that are fit for purpose.
- Electrical Engineering and Project Management experience (desirable)
- Tertiary qualifications in business or trade qualifications (desirable)
- Experience understanding complex problems, the ability to design innovative solutions and sell those solutions to a customer.
- Proven ability to negotiate and think on your feet in tough situations and deliver positive business outcomes and customer experiences.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver on strict deadlines
- Ability to multi-task and possess strong commercial acumen and organisational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to engage relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the Australian energy industry from trades/installers, Energy Retailers to Regulators.
- A valid driver’s licence
