Facilities Officer required in Newport

**Your new company**

A reputable organisation based in Newport is currently seeking an experienced facilities officer for a short-term 2-3 months contract.

**The primary function of this role is to assist with the delivery of facility services and contribute to the continual improvement of facility management procedures.**

You must have your own transport as the site is not accessible from public transport.

**Your new role**

In your new role as facilities officer, you will be responsible for the following:

- Assist in administrative functions for meetings and events
- Open and close the centre, set up and pack up the centre, ensuring rooms and meal rooms are left clean and tidy.
- Customer service duties -first point of contact for visitors, answering phones and taking bookings
- Perform procurement of goods and maintenance works and services
- Ensure the accurate and timely processing of account receivables and invoice payments
- Provide exceptional face to face and written customer service to users, stakeholders and contractors.
- Be involved with OH&S activities, including safety inductions, audits and reviewing and updating the safety documentation and procedures.
- Act as point of contact for vendors, participants and contractors.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Your own transport is necessary as the site is not accessible by public transport.
- You must hold a valid police check or be willing to obtain one.
- Excellent administration and organisational skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders and contractors.
