**What you’ll do**
As the Head of Product & Design, you will lead a team of Product & Design Chapter Leaders to deliver products and customer experiences that can be leveraged across WooliesX. You will focus on "what" squads need to deliver and the "form" this should take. You will have accountability for talent acquisition, retention, and providing growth opportunities for the talent within the Practice. In collaboration with the relevant Capability Leaders, you will establish and evolve frameworks and standards that enable our Product, Design, and Solution Analysis team members to be effective in their roles.
- Ensure that the team has the space to focus on building their capabilities through meaningful growth and development plans, connecting with others for shared learning, and driving innovation across the business
- Provide vision and leadership to ensure that Product and Design capabilities are continually striving towards best in class practices and that these practices improve our ability to deliver valuable solutions
- Ensure that opportunities to align with and collaborate with the broader Group Digital Technology team are realised by working horizontally and aligning with other leaders in the team Focus on the "who" and "how" of product and design - leading, communicating effectively and influencing senior leaders and cross functional teams

**What you’ll bring**
You’ll bring a demonstrable record of progression throughout your career, having worked in roles of similar complexity, ideally within the retail, complex services, or product sector. You will have experience working within a matrixed/Agile organization, having had success in building and fostering relationships across and down into the business. You will also have been acknowledged for having built and managed strong relationships. Fundamentally, you will have deep experience in a senior Product or Design leadership role.
- Excellent commercial judgement, and an ability to prioritise, influence and make value creating decisions
- A passion for people leadership and growing the capabilities of others through coaching, with a track record of great feedback from direct reports An ability to define and execute strategies that create real business and customer value in fast-growth or large-scale companies
