NextGen Jobs is offering an exciting and unique opportunity for multiple Business Traineeships within both the Department of Health and the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing Do you have an interest in launching your career in the government while earning a Certificate III in Business and a wage?
This 12 month traineeship based in Melbourne CBD provides support to the Common Corporate Support Branch (CCSB) Unit.
Youth Employment Scheme (YES)
The YES is a Victorian State Government funded initiative designed to increase the workforce participation of young people, particularly those facing significant barriers to employment. These placements provide trainees with meaningful work experience and formal training to give a solid foundation for a sustainable career. Applicants from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply
Eligibility Criteria
- Not have attained a university/diploma level qualification (excluding 1-4 certificates)
- Be aged between 15 and 29 years at the commencement of the traineeship
- Not currently engaged in tertiary education

(Please note if you do not meet the eligibility criteria you can not be considered for the role)

Key Accountabilities
As a trainee, you will be guided to undertake studies and responsibilities to grow in the role within the CCSB, which leads the management and delivery of corporate services for both the DFFH & DH. Tasks include:

- Deliver customer service for a diverse range of shared services offered by the Common Corporate Support Branch.
- Support administrative and project support functions, including but not limited to, payroll and payment services, facilities, and assets management; fleet management; technology, information, and records management; procurement and finance.
- Utilise corporate systems, databases, spreadsheets and registers using standard software.
- Work flexibly and collaboratively across the business to develop and foster strong positive relationships with stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
- Provide timely and accurate information to enquires via Customer Care, OurService and other touchpoints.
- Work in a team environment and provide effective customer service to managers and staff within the branch.
- Support the maintenance of databases including tracking, reporting and administration improvement
- Complete your TAFE studies to obtain your Certificate III in Business.
- Follow legislative requirements and occupational health and safety policies and procedures.
