Our **_Regulatory and Control Operations Team (RACO or Financial Crime Operations) _**are accountable for leading a complex and diverse shared service for Financial Crime Operations across CBA.
Spanning multiple Business Units, multiple global locations and multiple financial crime disciplines such as Anti-money laundering/Transaction Monitoring, Payments Sanctions Screening, Customer Sanctions Screening, Pep Screening, Enhanced Customer Due Diligence of High Risk customers, on-boarding, on-going due diligence and maintenance and Law Enforcement Agency Notices.
RACO is a team of dedicated professionals and we collaborate closely with financial crime compliance and Business Aligned Risk teams across the group. It is a scale, growing operation that has extensive Transformation plans and focus within the organisation. Our external stakeholders are AUSTRAC, ASO and Law Enforcement. We work together to detect, deter and disrupt financial crime.
**Do work that matters**
The RACO team is accountable for the development, implementation and ongoing leadership of the group’s financial crime shared services. RACO leads the Group’s approach to managing Anti-Money Laundering/Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF), Sanctions and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) risks and obligations through the provision of the following services:
- Correspondent Banking due diligence
- AML/CTF operations
- Sanctions Operations
- Government Agency Requests
- Customer Verification Screening
**_The Business Assurance (BA) team is responsible for analysing and recording insights through our Quality Assurance (QA) team who assist in maintaining our service standard and providing coaching and training to the wider RACO team. _**
As part of the QA team, you will be reporting to the Manager, Quality Assurance and contributing to the day-to-day operations. The role will ensure the effective delivery of QA over our key processes, increasing governance and reporting and ensuring RACO consistently delivers high quality outputs. **_This role is focused role around the QA for Transaction Monitoring. _**
**On any given day you will**
Adhere to the Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct sets the standards of behaviour, actions and decisions we expect from our people
Maintain an operating rhythm with Operational teams to provide insights and trends as well as understand root cause of systemic quality issues. Develop and implement CI initiatives and action plans to uplift QA results across RACO
- Day-to-day you will: _
- Complete required number of quality assessments whilst maintaining adherence to schedule
- Efficiently engage multiple stakeholders to provide evidence and data driven feedback. Where required, provide additional tailored guidance.
- Mitigate risk for RACO via prompt identification, logging and assistance in remediating various risk items.
- Set and maintain the standard to which RACO operates in its decision making and regulatory submissions, ensuring process is followed
- Uplift financial crime knowledge and actively engage in continuous learning and development
- Ensure SLA’s and team targets are met or exceeded
- Raise any risks or issues identified through the appropriate channels and contribute to remediation activity to mitigate any risk
- Support the team in the development and updating of Process Maps, User Guides & SOP’s whilst also completing any required administrative tasks
- Undertake any other tasks assigned by your Manager that you have the capability to perform safely and in line with relevant internal Group policies and external regulatory requirements

- An understanding of the financial crime regulatory framework with knowledge of the AML/CTF, Sanctions and ABC risk environment
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate trends and insights to a large range of stakeholders
- Continuous improvement (CI) mindset and the ability to utilise CI tools
- Excellent time management skills
- Relevant industry certification/accreditation, preferred
- Experience in AML / CFT and / or KYC compliance operations
- Experience working in a financial crime environment or financial services industry
- Enhanced Customer Due Diligence experience would also be beneficial
