What To Expect
The Business Development & Sales Manager is a key role within Tesla's utility-scale project sales and business development team, responsible for leading pre-contract commercial activities.

Tesla Energy is experiencing immense growth in the Utility Energy sector across Australia, supported by the continued development of new market leading Megapack products, and the regional shift towards renewable storage targets.

We require an experienced and driven Sales & BD professional with a solutions focused mindset to drive growth in the utility market through existing and new client relationships. It is a Senior and impactful position with significant growth targets. The role can be based in either our Sydney or Melbourne office.

What You'll Do- Identifying strong leads and build the sales pipeline in Australia's rapidly growing utility-scale storage market
- Lead contracting of new and active projects, ensuring all project reviews and approvals are in place prior to execution
- Lead the commercial negotiations of utility energy storage projects, working with cross-functional teams to compile Sales Agreements and Long-Term Service Agreements for execution
- Proactively manage external and internal stakeholder engagement to achieve timely close-out of contracts
- Preparation and presentation of deal parameters to secure relevant executive approvals
- Identify opportunities to implement continuous improvement and best practice
What You'll Bring- Preferred Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Finance
- At least 8+ years commercial experience in long sales cycle B2B projects
- Expertise in negotiating Sales Agreements for Energy related products and services
- Energy sector experience is strongly preferred but not essential
- Excellent communication and influencing skills; experienced in building strong working relationships and comfortable leading discussion with Senior Management
- Ability to organize multiple tasks and work streams, proven track record of client-facing communication and flexible time-management with changing priorities
- Highly driven personality, can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and deal with ambiguity based on a "can-do", solutions-oriented attitude
