Ballarat Community Health is seeking a motivated team member to join our Health Promotion team. In alignment with the Victorian Health and Wellbeing Plan 2023-2027, this role supports our current priority areas: healthier eating, reducing tobacco and e-cigarette harm, and improving sexual and reproductive health. Working closely with local councils, education providers, and community organisations, the role involves developing public health policy and creating supportive environments to reduce health inequities. This is a great opportunity to contribute to meaningful change across Ballarat and the surrounding region.

Ballarat Community Health is a not-for-profit community health organisation that’s been creating healthy communities through the provision of accessible, affordable and quality health and wellbeing services for over 45 years.

We deliver a range of primary health, social care and community-based support to meet local community needs. We have approximately 300 staff, with seven (7) locations across Ballarat and the Western Region.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-based health promotion programs aligned with strategic and annual action plans.
- Deliver health promotion activities and support across various community settings, including schools, workplaces, and recreational groups.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and participate in relevant networks to strengthen partnerships and drive CH-HP initiatives.
- Contribute to evaluation and reporting through data collection, presentations, and sharing of outcomes within the health sector.

**What you will bring to the team**:

- A sound understanding of and experience in planning, including needs assessment, community engagement, codesign to develop, deliver and evaluate health promotion programs and interventions
- Demonstrated understanding of integrated health promotion principles including health equity, place based approaches and the social determinants of health
- Ability to prioritise workloads and conflicting tasks and manage deadlines
- Proven ability to use initiative to solve problems
