The Health, Safety and Wellbeing Lead works closely with stakeholders across the VBA to build and sustain a positive safety culture across a diverse workforce while balancing safety with operational delivery. The role partners with people leaders and has responsibility for providing specialist and practical Health & Safety advice.
In this role you will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of an OH&S Management System and Strategy to address identified OH&S risks for the VBA. You will provide both strategic direction in the areas of health, safety and wellbeing and hands on operational execution of initiatives to reduce OHS risks.

**Who we are looking for**:

- A positive, engaging person with a strong background in health, safety and wellbeing or operations and a passion for continuous improvement
- Demonstrated experience in developing programs and frameworks that support safety in practice and a positive safety culture through influence and engagement
- Practical experience in the field or industry with demonstrated achievements in working with teams and leaders to improve health, safety and wellbeing
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders
- A solutions focused person with the ability to interpret policies, procedures, legislation and provide high level advice and solution development with stakeholders
- Qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline such as operations is required
