As our highly valued Lead Educator with our Birkdale team, you’ll nurture children’s curiosity, creativity and capability so they become confident lifelong learners.

At C&K Birkdale South Childcare Centre, we welcome children from 0 to 5 years of age and provide care and early learning five days a week from 6:30am to 6:30pm.

C&K Birkdale South embraces _Listening and Learning Together: C&K Curriculum Approach_ which is a play based, emergent and co-constructed curriculum giving emphasis to encouraging children to express and transform their ideas and understandings in play and the many languages of children.

Children are encouraged to represent their own world in order to learn about and understand their world. In the process of representation, as they actively play and interact with others, engage with a rich variety of materials and ideas, children’s language and social abilities are fostered.

Using your skills, ideas and passion for education, you’ll:

- Create a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment for children, their families and our wider community.
- Be supported by a team of kind, humble people who share their knowledge to help you learn, grow and achieve more than you ever thought possible.
- Shape the future of children in our care by Taking a lead role in planning, implementing and evaluating a stimulating play-based education program for children aged 0 to 5 years.
- Following all reporting requirements, regulations and legislation to ensure we continue to lead the way in our field.

**What you’ll bring**

To thrive and succeed in this role, you will have or be willing to work towards:

- A minimum of a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or willingness to commence studying that qualification.
- First Aid, CPR and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification.
- Valid Blue Card or Exemption Card.
- A Police Check current within three months (or willingness to obtain one).
