We are a people powered businessso, we’re looking for a HR Administrator who recognises the importance of this.
Reporting to the HR Manager, this administrative role is pivotal to the success of our team. Administrators are often the silent heroes behind the scenes, but your HR Manager will ensure your needs are met too, like recognition, on-the-job training/exposure, career development pathways, open communication, and a fun office culture.
This role is ideal for someone with administrative experience or with an interest in getting into the Human Resources profession.
This role is **Part Time **and will typically work 2-3 days per week depending on how much administrative support is required for the department. We provide flexibility around which days you prefer to work and start/finish times (as long as they align with common office hours).
**The contract is fixed-term for 12 months, for parental leave coverage.**
Every day is different in our small two-person HR team, but you’ll will certainly need to be a friendly face that all can turn to for questions in our hotel.
Some key responsibilities of our HR Administrator include
- Assisting other departments with their recruitment. This can sometimes include pre-screening applicants, telephone screening, and scheduling interviews for our busy managers.
- Ensuring new and current colleagues are up to date with valid working rights, certifications, licences etc.
- Utilising social media to promote available vacancies, employee benefits, team member birthdays and anniversaries etc.
- Maintain organisation of colleague files and records.
- Handling colleague enquiries regarding payroll/tax/superannuation etc.
- Assist in the coordination of colleague events and engagement surveys to foster a great workplace culture.
- Supporting the wider hotel team by assisting other departments during exceptionally busy periods.
What we need from you:
- Previous experience in an administrative role is highly regarded.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and organisational skills are a must.
- Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Microsoft Word).
- Ability to prioritise and manage workloads.
- Ability to maintain employees confidence regarding sensitive matters.
