**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
- Provide secretarial support including clerical and administrative support to the Director of Anatomical Pathology, the Director of Surgical Pathology and other Anatomical Pathologists within Anatomical Pathology.
- Manage appointments, teleconferences and meeting venues.
- Prioritise and manage incoming correspondence and telephone messages and proficiently prepare letters, memoranda, reports and audiovisual material using ancillary office suite software.
- In collaboration with the Divisional Quality Coordinator, assist in the management of the pathologists' external quality assurance program.
- Liaise, communicate and maintain effective relationships with all levels of staff and clients.
- Undertake other support duties as required relating to the requirements of the Office of the Director Anatomical Pathology and service delivery requirements of Anatomical Pathology as directed by the Office supervisor, including medical typing and referral case handling.

- Proven ability to work autonomously to manage and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines and to show initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Organisational skills and the ability to use initiative and be adaptable in a changing and dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to use a wide variety of computer software and maintain accurate records.
- Current knowledge of medical terminology and well-developed keyboard and data entry skills.

**Qualifications registrations and other requirement's**:
While not mandatory, experience in medical office administration and medical terminology would be highly regarded.
