- UGL Defence is currently working towards the award of a fuel related Asset Management, Operations and Maintenance contract with Defence. We are recruiting a Materials Coordinator to join our business in what is an exciting and unique opportunity to work in the Australia Defence environment to support the national security requirements of the Nation.
**The Role**
The materials Coordinator, reporting into the Project Controls Manager, will be based in our newly created Defence Hub in North Sydney, supporting National sites and locations. This role is responsible for:
- Forecast, coordinate and plan all material requirements for project and production requirements
- Manage and track inventory, ensuring an accurate record of all materials and act on any identified discrepancies
- Establish and manage relationships with suppliers, including overseeing transportation of supplies, material quality feedback, cost tracking and minor negotiations as required
- Foster relationships and regularly communicate with site-based teams
- Interface with SAP as inventory management and CMMS tool
**On Your First Day we expect you to bring to the team**:
- Relevant qualifications or experience in a similar role
- Proven experience in materials management, inventory control or procurement in the heavy industry
- Working experience in CMMS and inventory management systems, SAP highly regarded
- Ability to problem solve, communicate well, and foster great working relationship with internal and external stakeholders
- Holds, or can obtain, appropriate security clearance
