NECA Victoria organises approximately 30+ events annually, including networking dinners, Women’s networking events (200+ attendees), the Annual State Awards dinner (750+ attendees), and large-scale exhibitions (1,000 attendees). Additionally, the organisation delivers a series of online events such as interactive lunch-and-learn sessions and webinars.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the planning, preparation, and execution of NECA Victoria events and webinars.
- Manage the full event lifecycle, from conception to completion.
- Conduct market research and collect data on industry trends.
- Analyse consumer patterns and requirements to develop event strategies.
- Develop business cases aligned with NECA’s strategic objectives to support business growth through events.
- Manage event logistics, registrations, and vendor negotiations.
- Oversee pre-event, onsite, and post-event activities, including engagement surveys.
- Create and execute marketing plans for event promotions.
- Develop copy and concepts for advertising materials.
- Provide post-event performance reports and analysis.
- Refine event processes based on feedback and outcomes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for event stakeholders, including sponsors and suppliers.
- Create budgets, forecasts, and manage event finances.
- Promote events through targeted outreach efforts.
- Align the event calendar with the organisation’s business goals.
- Ensure successful implementation and execution of all scheduled events and webinars.
- Perform additional duties as required by management.

Selection Criteria

Essential:

- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in marketing and coordinating small
- and large-scale events within limited budgets.
- Experience in developing marketing strategies to support event-related sales objectives.
- Strong data analysis and market research skills.
- Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities.
- Experience in corporate event coordination, from conception to execution.
- Proficiency in event marketing material development.
- Budget management experience.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Willingness to perform light event setup duties.
- Availability for work outside standard hours and travel as needed.
- Technological proficiency and adaptability.
- Ability to work proactively and independently with mínimal supervision.
- High-level written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
- Strategic thinking ability and composure under pressure.
- Enthusiastic and adaptable team-oriented mindset.

Desirable:

- Experience in running online events, including webinars and virtual exhibitions.
- Familiarity with marketing automation tools (e.g., Higher Logic), social media platforms, and creative suites (e.g., Adobe).
- Experience with ticketing systems such as Eventbrite or Humantix.
- Strong analytical skills for report generation and data-driven decision-making.
- Experience supporting and improving business processes.
- Background in the Electrical and Construction industry or not-for-profit sector.

**Qualifications**:

- Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Communications, Public Relations, or a related discipline.
