Patient Services Officer

We are seeking a suitably experienced Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic team at our Mulgrave Practice.
- The Patient Services Officer provides administrative and support to staff, patients and clinicians to ensure that a high quality, professional and efficient administration service is consistently provided to patients.- This position is being offered as permanent full-time Monday to Friday.What you’ll do:

- Acting as the first point of contact and greeting patients on arrival
- Making and managing patient appointments for numerous Specialists across multiple sites
- Collecting patient information, maintaining patient privacy and accurate data entry
- Completing cardiology related administration including document scanning
- Managing a large volume of patient telephone enquiries
- Billing and receipting of accounts to patients, Medicare and DVA
- Liaising with Specialists, Nurses, Cardiac Physiologists and peers.
- Completing tasks as allocated by Practice Manager and or Site Leader
Who you are:

- Minimum of three years demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Exceptional phone manner, excellent time management skills and the ability to multi task.
- Ability to work autonomously and complete work within tight time frames.
- Superior customer service and exceptional communication skills with the ability to work as an effective team member with flexibility to respond to fluctuating work flows
- Positive, enthusiastic and a genuine love of working in a fast paced environment whilst maintaining a high level of quality and professionalism
- Proficient computer skills including typing, outlook, and word
- Flexibility to cover at other locations
- Cardiology experience preferred
