**About the role**
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assessment Officer to join our team. In this role, you will undertake comprehensive child protection assessments and provide professional advice to support children and young people who may be at risk of harm. You will coordinate responses within the Department of Education and collaborate with external organisations to deliver child protection solutions.
The Child Wellbeing Unit (CWU) is dedicated to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in our communities. We are committed to providing tailored support and professional learning to address child protection matters.

**Key Knowledge and Experience**
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
**Essential requirements of the role**
- Hold a valid clearance to work with children (Working with Children Check)
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

Think about a time where you collaborated with Mandatory Reporters and other stakeholders specifically with regards to reducing child protection concerns and increasing the potential of access to services to improve wellbeing and safety? Provide an example of a successful collaboration experience where you played a pivotal role. What did you do to contribute to a successful outcome. (max 300 words)
