AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

The Global Network Delivery organization is looking to hire a highly motivated, best-in-class Network Deployment Planner to join our growing Planning team within AWS Data Center Delivery. The team responsibilities involve scoping and planning interdependent capacity scaling projects and new network capacity deployments across several data center locations.

The Network Deployment ‘Planner’ will work closely with infrastructure supply chain & procurement, network engineering and technical program managers to plan and deliver customer capacity to the local data center installation & deployment technicians to facilitate smooth capacity execution.

In addition, this role may require international travels of up to 30%.

A day in the life
Days typically involve strategic planning and coordination across multiple concurrent projects. The planning phase begins with analyzing capacity forecasts and translating requirements into structured work packages using standardized templates. You'll spend time coordinating with supply chain teams to validate material availability, consulting with engineering on technical specifications, and working with field teams to ensure deployment plans are executable.

A typical day might include participating in cross-functional meetings to align project timelines, creating detailed work breakdowns for upcoming deployments, reviewing and updating project documentation, and coordinating with stakeholders across different time zones. You'll regularly use data analysis tools to track project progress, identify potential bottlenecks, and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on schedule.
