Requisition ID: 34435- Job Location(s): Dandenong South, AU Melbourne, AU Rowville, AUDanfoss is looking for a strong leader to accelerate profitable growth and operationalize high-level plans to fit the local market opportunities. The objectives of this role are to develop and lead country teams to successful results, measured by solid growth, high employee satisfaction and team spirit in the local sales company.

As the sub-region General Manager, you are the legal manager of the sales company and represent Danfoss interest in the local markets, while you lead and develop all operations in the sub-region following Danfoss strategies. With a local flavour and a “Can-Do” attitude, you secure high ambitions and strong execution focus with your teams. You are responsible for delivering solid results and developing your people in multiple functions.

**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to, the following
- Provide overall leadership for Danfoss' business by driving growth, market share development and stimulating new business development.
- Lead the Local Management Team driving segment strategies across the region with a focus on teamwork and transparency.
- Drive business within the defined fixed expense frames.
- Nurture, lead and coach people and leaders to optimum and long-term performance while securing a best-in-class work environment and high employee engagement.
- Represent the region within the Regional Management Team and work with regional segment teams to deliver the best possible value proposition and ensure joint alignment on strategies, forecasting and business processes.
- Identify and execute focused plans for strategic hotspots where we can grow faster and profitably.
- Act as spokesperson of Danfoss to all stakeholders, having the overall responsibility to ensure that One Danfoss culture is embedded, and representing the company locally.
- Responsible for building relationships at CEO levels, industry and institutional influencers on a strategic level as well as representing Danfoss in public, and private affairs and enhancing employer branding in the local market.
- Responsible for overall customer experience and perception of Danfoss, as measured in the Customer Loyalty Index through the delivery of our brand promise and corporate initiatives.
- Role model, coach and mentor country teams to develop and drive a growth mindset.

- Master/Degree in Engineering, Business or equivalent, with proven experience in sales, marketing and business development, preferably in engineering or industrial sectors
- Minimum 10 years’ experience, with 3-5 years in people leadership positions
- Technical background with commercial profile or experience
- Experience with different sales channels (distributors, OEM and project sales)
- Proven track record in driving initiatives, results and engagement with others
- Proven leadership experience in a virtual and matrix environment.
- Strong experience in leading change
- Entrepreneur mindset with a high level of energy, confidence and a strong appetite for challenges with courage to challenge the status quo
- Ability to build strategic execution plans
- Strong communication skills in local and English language
- Self-motivated team player who wants to make a difference.
