**About the opportunity**

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced Regional/National Operations Manager to oversee and manage the operations of the Techtronic Industries Service Centres within Australia ensuring operational excellence through assisting with designing, scoping and implementation of the Service Centre operations and relocations.

Reporting to the Head of Aftersales of ANZ a key objective of this role will be implementation of continuous improvements that drive best practice within our Service Centres across Australia. This is a national role therefore will involve some interstate travel.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Monitor profit and cost centres of Service Centres.
- Attend Product training to keep up to date with current product information.
- Establish and maintain an inventory control system that ensures the spare parts meet the supply and demands of end users.
- Drive process mapping, process control and workforce planning
- Develop and enhance the skill set of direct reporting managers and team leaders.
- Monitor and identify trends in Service Centres to drive efficiency gains.
- Review the end to end procedures on a regular basis and change as required to ensure agreed freight times are aligned to SLA.
- Coach and assist direct reports with people management and staffing matters
- Oversee planning, forecasting, and ordering of spare parts based on product manager analysis.
- Track manage and co-ordinate the obsolescence stock management within Service Centres.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, conduct regular reviews of departmental staff and record same for verification purposes.

**Skills and Experience required for this role**:

- Experience as a people manager and leader within key business units preferably within a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Proven experience in a similar National/Regional Operations Management role across several sites or service centres/warehouses.
- Strong communication skills - ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation.
- Must be proactive with ability to think ahead, to be a team player and focused on meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated participation in project environments/ projects.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing continuous business improvement initiatives.
- Experience working within a ERP system environment (SAP or similar)
- Demonstrated ability to enhance team performance through leadership, development, and empowerment
- Knowledge of LEAN and/or Six Sigma methodologies is an advantage
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
