**Regional Manager - Southern Metropolitan Area**
- $129,379 to $173,378 salary range - VPS 6
- Dandenong Office with travel around Metropolitan Melbourne and Regional Victoria

**About the Role**:
As the Regional Manager for Southern Metropolitan Region, you will play an integral role leading a team of place-based operational experts to prevent and reduce environmental harm in the community. You will represent EPA at a regional level; leading the delivery of preventative and regulatory interventions. You will join a supportive and expert senior leadership team, passionate about creating a tangible difference to the regulation and protection of Victoria's environment.
**Duties**:
- Lead a team of authorised compliance and enforcement professionals; managing the prevention and reduction of environmental harm in the South Metro region.
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to guide regulatory intervention, preventative measures, and emergency response.
- Represent the EPA to the entire community, external stakeholders, and drive engagement across the entire Southern Metropolitan region.
- Drive strong governance and reporting ensuring accountability to the broader organisation.
- Work across the organisation and with external stakeholders to ensure collaboration, consistency in regulation, and strong environmental outcomes for the entire Victorian community.
**Skills and Experience**:
- Strong applied knowledge and experience in regulation - particularly pollution, waste management, and emergency incident management principles.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in an operational setting - providing strategic direction, mentorship, and organisational collaboration.
- Member of relevant professional bodies e.g. AELERT or ANZSOG (desirable).
- Relevant tertiary degree (desirable).
- Experience navigating machinery of government.
- Demonstrated ability as an empowering and adaptive leader enabling professional development and high performance of teams; confidently leading through change with agility.
