East Melbourne, Australia Melbourne Orthopaedic Surgeons Full time

An exciting opportunity exists for a Medical Receptionist to join a well-established and renowned group of Orthopaedic Surgeons located in the medical precinct of East Melbourne accessible by all forms of public transport.

The position is part time, 2 to 3 days per week, and is available to commence immediately. On different days, time will be spent at the main consulting rooms in East Melbourne and at another hospital in Mulgrave.

Duties include:

- Answering phones and dealing with various queries in a professional and courteous manner
- Meeting and greeting patients
- Scheduling and confirming patient appointments
- Processing patient payments
- Liaising with the Doctor with respect to patient enquiries
- General administration work (scanning, filing, updating patient details)
- General housekeeping duties and clinic maintenance
- There is scope to increase duties with increasing experience working in the practice
- Experience using Genie (preferably)
- Previous experience in a medical secretary role (preferably)
- Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail
- Polite and professional demeanor with a friendly and caring attitude
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrate compassion and confidence in dealing with a diverse group of patients
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
- Quick to learn and show initiative
- Reliable and enthusiastic

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15 per week

**Salary**: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
