**The opportunity**

East Brisbane Medical Centre is seeking a highly-skilled and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic team. We are offering a Casual position to start ASAP.

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, responsible for providing exceptional service and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of our medical practice.

As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and welcoming environment for our patients, while also supporting the clinical team with various administrative tasks.

**Key responsibilities**
- Greeting and welcoming patients, both in person and over the phone, with a friendly and professional manner
- Scheduling and managing patient appointments, including follow-up calls and reminders
- Handling patient enquiries and providing information about our services, policies, and procedures
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
- Assisting with the coordination of patient referrals and test results
- Providing general administrative support to the clinical team as required
- Ensuring the reception area is well-organised and presentable at all times

**What we're looking for**
- 1 year experience in a medical reception or customer service-oriented role is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients of all backgrounds
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail
- Proficient in using medical software and computer systems or eager to learn
- A genuine interest in the healthcare industry and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
