The User Research Lead plays a pivotal role in championing user-centricity and driving evidence-based decision-making within Montu. They will lead the establishment of a robust user research function, working closely with cross-functional teams and collaborating with the Data and Analytics department to glean insights that inform product development and optimisation.

**Day to day responsibilities**:

- ** Strategic Planning**
- Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for establishing and scaling the user research function.
- Define key objectives, priorities, and resource requirements in alignment with business goals.
- ** Research Execution**
- ** **Lead the planning, execution, and analysis of user research studies to uncover actionable insights about user behaviours, needs and preferences.
- Utilise a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and data analysis.
- ** Leadership**
- Build and lead a high-performing user research team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that values diversity and innovation.
- ** Communication & Collaboration**
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, engineers, marketers, and other stakeholders to integrate user research into the product development lifecycle.
- Partner with the Data and Analytics department to leverage existing data sources and enhance research findings with quantitative analysis.
- Communicate research findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation in a clear, compelling, and actionable manner.
- Advocate for the user perspective and influence decision-making with evidence-based insights.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in leading user research initiatives in a corporate setting, preferably within the technology industry.
- Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including study design, data collection, analysis, and synthesis.
- Proficiency in research tools and software, as well as data analysis tools.
