- If you fit this profile, then you could join the dynamic Accreditation Team within the Strategy, Accreditation, Professional Practice and Policy Branch at VIT with an exciting and challenging mandate to enable quality teaching and provide for the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
- The Accreditation Manager role offers an outstanding career opportunity for a professional who is passionate about using their expertise and leadership to support VIT in its regulation of Victorian teachers. With expert knowledge of program accreditation, the higher education system and / or the teaching profession, excellent people management skills and strong stakeholder engagement skills, the role will ensure VIT is well informed to enable quality teaching.

**About the role**
- This role will require you to:

- manage and support accreditation staff using proactive and positive approaches to maximise effectiveness and engagement.
- perform a key advisory, advocacy and liaison role in relation to the accreditation of ITE programs, approval of pathway programs, assessment of overseas qualifications for equivalency to an ITE program, and endorsement of continuing education programs for registered teachers.
- guide the development of frameworks and principles to support VIT's assessment of ITE programs, pathway programs, continuing education programs and overseas qualifications that meet the standards and requirements of National and State reforms and manage the related approval processes.
- manage partnerships with key stakeholders related to the accreditation functions.
- represent VIT in the education sector and provide advice to a range of stakeholders on complex matters concerned with standards, pathways, professional learning and ITE program accreditation.
- prepare briefs, reports and / or guidance to internal and external stakeholders; including, but not limited to, Director Strategy, Accreditation, Professional Practice and Policy, VIT Accreditation Committee, VIT Executive and VIT Council.
- identify current and emerging issues, as well as risks and trends that affect policies and processes to support the accreditation functions of the Institute.
- Support the Director Strategy, Accreditation, Professional Practice and Policy
- undertake other duties as directed by Director Strategy, Accreditation, Professional Practice and Policy Branch.

**About you**
- As an experienced people manager you will have sound and practical knowledge of higher education, regulation and ITE accreditation requirements. You will have experience in program accreditation, managing successful teams and a passion for child safety and experience working within the education sector.
