Your Role

Temporary positions are available within the marketed and non-marketed commercial programs, including:
Team Leader - Temporary Resident Admissions: Supporting students who are temporary resident visa holders, including dependants of international students, bridging visa holders and visitor visa holders, can experience studying at a QLD Government (state) primary school, high school or State Delivered Kindergarten.

The position reports to the Manager, International Student Programs, and is located in Brisbane. You will be part of a large and diverse work team.

Responsibilities include:
accessing and operating administrative and technical databases, process information and prepare associated reports
maintaining financial records management systems, including reconciling invoices
ensuring compliance with all Commonwealth and State Acts relating to the entry and completion of educational programs by overseas students, and with policies and guidelines of the department in relation to such matters
leading and empowering team with an agile, innovative and collaborative approach
drive induction process and training of new staff and upskilling of team and development of training
assigning tasks based on each team's individual role, experience, and strength points to guarantee that every task is done in the best way without overloading a single employee
coordinating staff activities, providing performance feedback, and ensuring employees' tasks and functions are completed efficiently and on time
monitoring, mentoring, and guiding team through every task to ensure that the team has the required resources and tools to complete tasks effectively and deliver the outcomes for the team.
ensure that the working team meets deadlines and maintains high-quality standards while handling operational reports and challenges
building, overseeing, and encouraging a collaborative environment among their team members by boosting open communication, transparency, and support culture, and the sharing of ideas and solutions.
maintaining positive relationships with internal & external stakeholders, including school staff, staff of overseas institutions, overseas representatives and students
preparing reports and producing statistics using databases, managing the accuracy of data and verifying data and produce monthly reports

About You

To be successful in this role, you would need:
strong written and oral communication skills
flexibility to work across a number of completing priorities
excellent interpersonal skills to manage a small team
great time management skills.
