The Department of Treaty, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships, Communities and the Arts is responsible for progressing the Treaty process, delivering services for communities and the Arts, and providing whole-of-government leadership and coordination in policy, program, and service delivery for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Queenslanders.

Within this diverse Department, the Office for Veterans plays a key role in upholding Queensland's commitments to its veterans, serving as the central point for veterans' policy and government commitments. It ensures veterans receive the support they deserve, providing policy advice, coordination, employment support, grants, and collaborative initiatives with stakeholders. Working within the broader Department, the Office aims to enhance the well-being and integration of veterans into communities.

**About the Role | Director, Office for Veterans**
As the Director of the Office for Veterans, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing policies and initiatives that directly impact Queensland's veteran community. Your key responsibilities include:

- Lead special projects and programs benefiting Queensland veterans.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams to execute major initiatives.
- Develop high-level policy and prepare complex submissions and reports.
- Foster collaborative partnerships with stakeholders and government agencies.
- Represent the Office for Veterans and the government at relevant events and meetings.

**About You**

As a leader, you should demonstrate strategic thinking, make insightful decisions, and drive results. Building relationships and promoting inclusivity are key, along with relevant qualifications and experience in policy and team leadership.

To be successful in this role you need:

- Possession of relevant tertiary qualifications in public policy, policy administration or a related discipline will be highly regarded.

- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing multidisciplinary teams.
