Within this diverse department, the Office for Veterans plays a key role in upholding Queensland's commitments to its veterans, serving as the central point for veterans' policy and government commitments. It ensures veterans receive the support they deserve, providing policy advice, coordination, employment support, grants, and collaborative initiatives with stakeholders. Working within the broader department, the Office aims to enhance the well-being and integration of veterans into communities. **About the Role | Manager, Office for Veterans** As the Manager, Office for Veterans, you will play a crucial role in delivering and overseeing projects, providing comprehensive policy advice on veterans' matters, and coordinating whole-of-government programs. This position involves collaborating with your team and key stakeholders to support Queensland's veterans and their families. Your key responsibilities include: - Lead and manage the Office for Veterans staff, fostering a high-performance culture - Oversee projects to fulfill government commitments supporting veterans and the veterans’ community - Develop comprehensive policy advice on veterans’ matters, contributing to whole-of-government coordination - Act as a central point of contact for the Queensland Government on veterans’ matters - Engage with key agencies, ex-service organisations, and stakeholders to support effective projects and policies **About You** We're seeking a dynamic individual who embodies visionary leadership and unwavering dedication to serving veterans and their families. In this pivotal role, you'll lead and inspire teams to deliver impactful projects and provide comprehensive policy advice on veterans' matters. Your strategic mindset and collaborative nature will drive whole-of-government coordination and ensure the successful delivery of programs supporting Queensland's veterans.
