**About the position**

The Sales Manager works to improve ATS market position and achieve financial growth within the Sydney Metropolitan and Illawarra regions.

Based in our Smithfield office, the Business Development Manager supports the organisation's commercial success by identifying business opportunities, negotiating and closing business deals, and managing all business relationships with existing and future clients within the territory.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Develop business networks with local businesses, Job Active Providers, and other stakeholders.
- Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
- Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organisation
- Work with ATS Core Team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
- Track and record activity on CRM, and close deals to meet sales’ target.
- Submit periodic progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
- Maximise government funding opportunities

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma level or higher qualification in Sales or Marketing (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Experience in marketing and/sales in corporate environment and working with government funded programs
- Previous experience in a similar role within the Australian Vocational Education and Training sector.

**Skills**:

- High levels of energy and enthusiasm with proven sales ability
- Strong written and verbal communication and the ability to provide a professional approach in dealing with Executives and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
- Ability to work independently and achieve results.
- Networking and prospecting.
- Identification of Customer Needs and Challenges.
- Competent management of a CRM system.
