As our new Government Relations Adviser, you'll play a vital role in supporting our Senior Adviser to build and maintain relationships with key government stakeholders. Typically, in this role you will:
- Develop strategic approaches for engaging with government and political stakeholders
- Prepare high-quality briefings and materials for senior leadership and parliamentary appearances
- Monitor the political landscape to identify opportunities and risks for AFCA
- Manage issues referred by members of parliament, including constituent concerns
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent external stakeholder engagement
**Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in public policy, political science, or a related field
- Extensive experience in government relations and stakeholder engagement
- Demonstrated experience in policy analysis and development
- Sound experience in preparing high-quality briefings and reports
- The ability to communicate complex information clearly and persuasively
