We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive **Community Engagement Specialist **to join our Destination, Communication and Customer Experience Unit.

Working in our high-performing Communication and Engagement team, your role will be to inform, educate, and engage the Tweed community and our staff so they get the most out of Council programs and services and are involved in the decisions affecting them.

The role champions staff networks, skills and capacity to strengthen engagement skills.

**About the role**:
We are looking for an experienced team player who can create effective plain language content and engagements which meet Council's Community Engagement and Participation Plan.

You will coordinate Council's corporate engagement methods including the online engagement website Your Say Tweed, as well as Community Conversations and events.

You will collaborate effectively with business partners to develop, deliver, and evaluate best-practice community engagement plans, while championing staff networks, skills and capacity to strengthen engagement skills.

It is a hands-on, proactive role that will suit someone who enjoys a buzzing, productive environment and is able to prioritise workload to meet business needs.
