Client-side Project Coordinator - large educational institute, permanent role. Outer South-East based.

Join a premier Victorian government-owned higher educational provider based South-East, as a Project Coordinator. The Project Coordinator will provide support for delivering a variety of projects across Capital works, asset maintenance programs and space management. Be a part of a respected team, reporting into a Manager who is highly supportive, personable and forward thinking. This is an excellent opportunity for a budding construction professional with 2-5 years of construction industry experience to gain an entry into Project Management and the government/education sectors.

**Your new role**
In your role, you will be responsible for:

- Project management support to the Manager and independent running of projects for 5 projects at a time under $50k
- Project management for construction projects (renovations, refurbishments, alterations), and minor project support tasks (validating FF&E)
- Management of administrative projects (setting up a new sharepoint system, filing system and project documenting), and property leasing
- Contract administration
- Procurement support with preparing RFQs, tenders and support with writing scope of works
- Space management with maintaining the floor plan database, office layout change, interpreting and updating drawings

**What you'll need to succeed**
To succeed in this role, you will have:

- Tertiary qualifications in Facilities Management, Trades, Engineering, Architecture, Construction or Project Management
- 2-5 years of experience in contract administration, estimation, construction project management or facilities/project management
- Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge and ability to assess risks in Project Management
- Ability to read and interpret drawings with ArchiBus, AutoCAD - desirable
- A hunger to learn and passion for your work
