**About the Role**
This role offers a unique opportunity to play a key coordinating role in supporting the Manager, Venues and Technical Production to deliver on the ambitions of venues in the Arts and Cultural Building. As a dedicated Technical Coordinator, you will have the chance to oversee and coordinate the Back of House activities in the performing arts venues, support student theatre activities, professional training opportunities, and external partnerships.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Schedule and coordinate access to technical resources for the venues under your coordination
- Plan and approve staff rosters and timecards for technical staff, and costings are updated promptly to allow for effective event settlement
- Deliver a high standard of performance-based technical service that supports the Performing Arts Department venues and programming
**Who we are looking for**
We are looking for an experienced technical coordinator who can communicate effectively, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and collaborate seamlessly with team members. Your unwavering commitment to providing excellent service and constant drive to innovate and improve is crucial to our new team.
You will also have:
- Relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
- A depth of experience operating and programming venue technical equipment for performances and events.
- Extensive experience in fault-finding technical issues in complex venue system installations. Including technical protocols such as DMX and Performance Equipment Networking.
- Demonstrated ability in coordinating staffing and technical resources to deliver projects on time.
- Demonstrate a general knowledge across all venue technical infrastructure, including AV, Lighting and Fly systems.
