**About the Role**
Join the Asia-Pacific Centre for Animal Health (APCAH) at the University of Melbourne as a Project Coordinator. You will support capacity building and training programs on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) across the Asia-Pacific, working on UK Government-funded initiatives in collaboration with institutions in five Southeast Asian countries.
This role may require some international travel.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide project coordination across global health antimicrobial resistance capacity building and training programs in which APCAH participates.
- Coordination of a multidisciplinary team, including organising meetings, supporting technical project activities, facilitating workshops and events as required.
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to progress project activities, through support for coordination of project personnel activities, meetings, assisting with planning of workshops and training, and facilitating communication across collaborators as required;
- Support management of project work plan, budgeting, monitoring of progress and milestones, and contribution to project and financial reporting as required;
- Manage record keeping and compliance reporting by minuting meetings, support for recording financial distribution and funding management, and contribute to tracking and preparation of documents to meet reporting requirements;
**Who We Are Looking For**
You will possess excellent organisational and administrative skills with a high level of attention to detail for planning and executing project activities, along with strong written communication abilities for preparing briefings and summary reports.
You will also have:
- A tertiary qualification in veterinary medicine, animal health, animal sciences, public health, global health, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to relate effectively with a range of people across all levels of the organisation;
- Excellent ability to support the development of project plans and timelines, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and monitor project progress;

The Asia-Pacific Centre for Animal Health (APCAH) is an internationally focused research and research training centre within the Melbourne Veterinary School that aims to optimise animal production and product quality through improved control of infectious agents.
The Centre conducts multidisciplinary research to develop fundamental understanding of the epidemiology and pathogenesis of infectious diseases of animals and applies this to enhancing control of disease through improved strategies for vaccination, diagnosis and management. The centre is part of the National Centre of Excellence in Antimicrobial Stewardship (NCAS), which aims to optimise the use of antimicrobial therapy in production and companion animals.
