Procurement and Contracts vacancy - initial 6 months temporary assignment with permanency options

This Government organisation is seeking a procurement and contracts professional to join their them for a temporary 6-month assignment and transition to permanency after that. This position affords an opportunity for you to work in an organisation which is a key contributor to the WA community as well as a flexible and supportive workplace.

Your new role

In this role you will be reporting to the Finance Manager and providing performing the procurement and contractual functions for the organisation’s acquisitions of both goods and services. Key responsibilities include:

- Provision of advice to internal stakeholders in line with the organisations procurement policy and best practice guidelines
- Delivery of efficient and compliant procurement and purchasing in line with the organisations needs
- Management and administration of contracts

What you’ll need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience in procurement as it relates to requests for tenders, requests for quotations and contract management
- Understanding of contract law
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and deliver on outcomes

What you’ll get in return In return you will be have the opportunity to work in a stable and rewarding role for a 6-month temporary assignment with the offer of permanency after that. Further details include:

- $47-$55/hour plus super
- Flexible working from home and start/finish times
- South of the River location
- 5 weeks paid annual leave per year for permanent staff
