The Culture & Leadership team sits within our high performing People & Culture Group. The Culture & Leadership team’s focus is closely integrated with the broader People & Culture team’s strategy; with a predominant focus on cultivating an inclusive, vibrant and cohesive culture across our global teams and architecting our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategy.
The role is predominantly responsible for our Australian business, however, to support REA’s growth ambitions there is more regular need to support work in our international locations. For example, designing a global culture strategy or onboarding requirements in Manila and India.
What the role is all about
The Culture & DEI Lead is responsible for the development and execution of strategies and initiatives that foster employee engagement, promote cultural integration, enhance our DEI goals, and ensure alignment with the REA’s mission and values. This role will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure programs align with REA Groups strategic objectives, foster a dynamic and engaging culture, and support a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Culture strategy
- Develop and implement a culture strategy that aligns with REA’s overall business goals and ambition
- Design and implement culture plan with global norms + local nuances that supports scale
- Contribute to the design of the year-round ‘employee listening strategy’ (including engagement surveys, pulse checks, and entry and exit surveys) with accountability for coordinating, in conjunction with the HR Business Partners, the action-planning.
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
- Develop and execute a comprehensive DEI strategy aligned with REA Group's business objectives that has global scale.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to build awareness and facilitate learning programs that celebrate belonging.
- Responsibility for REA Group's Diversity and Belonging policies and practices to ensure all members of REA Group have a comfortable place to work and learn, regardless of their background or beliefs.
- Act as a trusted advisor and thought leader on DEI matters to senior management and employees.
- Change Management and Program Management:
- Lead change management efforts related to cultural and DEI programs, ensuring smooth transitions and effective communication across all levels
- Develop internal communication strategies that promote transparency and align with organisational culture
- Regularly report on progress and outcomes to executive leadership and adapt strategies as necessary.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices to continually enhance REA Group's DEI initiatives.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build strong relationships across the organisation to ensure culture and DEI initiatives are integrated into business processes and the flow of work
- Collaborate with external partners and stakeholders to benchmark and share best practices in culture and DEI.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for DEI matters, facilitating open and productive conversations.
- Data and Analytics:
- Use data-driven insights to identify DEI challenges and opportunities.
- Provide regular reports on DEI metrics to leadership, recommending improvements based on data analysis.
- Develop metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of culture and DEI initiatives.
- Conduct thorough assessments of the current culture through surveys, interviews, and data analysis.
- Ensure compliance with relevant diversity-related legal requirements and policies.

- Experience developing DEI strategy and leading diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
