Where the team fits in

The Foundations Squad sits within Residential Advertising tribe, but our dream is to expand to all of Advertising portfolio and covers all lines of business. We are a platform team, and our mission is to build an Ad Product Platform that will provide common capabilities to optimise the speed to market for multiple markets. Currently our primary focus is Residential and will expand soon to include Commercial and Developer markets.

What the role is all about

This role is a Delivery Lead with a mixture of Business Analyst responsibilities. We are looking for someone who can lead the Foundations squad, while also able to get into the detail of the work and help clarify requirements for the squad. As the goal of Foundations squad expand beyond Residential, this role will be one of the key liaison between Foundations and other market PMs/BAs and DLs.

The key responsibilities of this role are:
- Drive end to end delivery of initiatives using agile methods across teams.- Initiative scoping, planning and facilitating estimation.- Managing and tracking dependencies across teams.- Managing project kick-offs, sprints, scope, reporting, priorities, stakeholders, risks, issues and scheduling/roadmaps.- Contributing to the management of the group’s overall program of work.- Building happy and productive teams (local and distributed).-
- Contributing to the leadership team of your area.- Contributing to the Delivery Lead community of practice for REA Group.

As the team is well established and performing effectively, we see an opportunity for this role to further enable the team by leading the following business analyst responsibilities:
- Gather and document business requirements specific to the Ad Product Platform- Work with the Product Manager and Business Analysts across the Advertising portfolio to define product rules and scope- Act as a liaison between the software engineers and business/product stakeholders- Support testing efforts by defining acceptance criteria and participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Who we’re looking for- Someone who is technically minded with plenty of experience in backend platform teams.- Advanced experience in agile software delivery and related concepts.- Advanced written, verbal communication skills.- Developed leadership, coordination, facilitation, motivational, negotiation and dispute resolution skills.- Developed understanding of web technologies and complex distributed systems
