**About the Chief Operating Officer Portfolio**
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) Portfolio enables quality outcomes for students, staff and partners by delivering University-wide services and operational support to meet the organisation's evolving needs and strategic goals. The portfolio also works in partnership with teams across the University to drive innovation, transformation and improved performance, within and across functions. It is responsible for the University's budget and financial performance, and the management of its property and capital.

The COO Portfolio is comprised of six sub-portfolios covering all areas of our operations, including the newly established Operational Performance group. This has been established to drive and manage a program of operational improvement and service transformation, underpinned by contemporary business insights, data modelling, predictive analytics, digital tools, and service planning.

**About the Role**
The Student Recruitment Officer (MGSE) sits within the Melbourne Graduate School of Education and will be responsible for promotion of the University’s profile among future Education students and supporting engagement with future Law and Business and Economics graduate students and the wider community within Australia and internationally.

The role supports a network of internal and external relationships and the delivery of a schedule of recruitment-based profiling activities, events and recruitment campaigns to maximise student enrolment outcomes. An innovative approach to student recruitment, utilising multiple communication strategies, alignment to the future student journey stages and understanding of student experience is essential to success in this role.

Responsibilities include:

- Provide support to the Recruitment Manager on the recruitment and admissions plan for each Division and assist with ongoing review and monitoring against plan to meet KPIs.
- Develop and implement graduate recruitment activities aligned to the Divisional Group’s strategic recruitment targets, including enquiry and event management, in a dedicated portfolio including by market.
- Contribute to undergraduate activities, especially large University wide recruitment events, as required.

**About You**

You are experienced in student recruitment and have a commitment to providing the highest level of service delivery to both students and divisions alike. Your strong interpersonal and collaboration skills enable you to develop and maintain productive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You have a continuous improvement and agile mindset, able to think flexibly and contribute toward problem solving.

You will also have:

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
- Previous experience with student recruitment within a tertiary education context.
- Previous experience with event management.
- To ensure the University continues to provide a safe environment for everyone, this position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check._
