**About the Role**
We are seeking a dedicated Student Wellbeing Officer to join the Faculty of Arts

The role, based in the Faculty of Arts' Academic Support Office (ASO), plays a crucial part in providing student support, particularly in managing complex cases, contributing to the Academic Integrity process, and enhancing student wellbeing.

The incumbent will work closely with the Manager of Student Wellbeing and maintain a strong awareness of university policies to develop strategies that benefit student welfare and success, with a focus on inclusivity and diversity.

You will:

- Contribute to the coordination, administration and delivery of all aspects of the academic integrity process across undergraduate, graduate and research higher degree cohorts
- Prepare complex student cases for review by the Director, BA and Director, Graduate School, ensure communication of outcomes and follow up actions
- Undertake outreach and provide support to Arts students to encourage engagement and success in their studies
- Be a point of contact for academic staff seeking to refer students to support services
- Contribute to the effective communication and collaborative working relationships with Faculty Academic Support staff, academic staff and students
- Contribute to the development and implementation of processes that enhance support to our complex cohort of Arts students

This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building relationships with diverse stakeholders, along with the ability to handle interactions with sensitivity, discretion, and confidentiality.

You will be able to maintain a high level of awareness of university policies and procedures, issues and activities relevant to your role, and contribute to the development of strategies and systems that will enhance student wellbeing.

While not essential, previous experience within the tertiary environment, in a student facing role will be highly regarded.

You will also have:

- Completion of a relevant tertiary qualification and significant relevant experience, or a combination of relevant work experience and/or education/training
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively build and enhance relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong organisational, attention to detail and project management skills to ensure the effective prioritisation, management and completion of tasks within agreed deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent and informed judgement in problem
- solving
- Demonstrated use of initiative and responsiveness in managing tasks and ensuring organizational objectives are achieved
- Ability to exercise sensitivity, discretion, and confidentiality in interactions with students and academic and professional staff at all levels
