**Responsibilities**:
The role of the Facilities Officer is to deliver professional support through the improvement and maintenance facilities, gardens and grounds at THS. This position will provide a broad range of technical, administrative, and facilities-based support to assist teaching staff and students to achieve teaching, learning and research outcomes.

**Duties**:

- Assist with day-to-day planning and completion of ad hoc requests and scheduled maintenance, grounds, classroom and event set up and pack up
- Assist with planning and completion of required repairs and renovations
- In conjunction with the Facilities Manager, develop, schedule, and implement preventative maintenance programs for buildings and grounds
- Identify and advise of opportunities for continuous improvement, productivity gains and efficiencies
- Assist the Facilities Manager to manage any incident, accident, near miss, damage, hazard reports and corrective actions to prevent a recurrence in a timely manner
- Drive minibus between sites in the absence or inability of another staff member (where licensed to do so, no student transport) for servicing, returning hires
- Assist other Grounds and Maintenance Staff where required
- Assist in out of hours activities from time to time if required (time in lieu)
- Ensuring appropriate maintenance support levels are maintained across the school
- Adhering to OH&S requirements to safeguard our school community working with and maintaining programs, tools and equipment associated with the role keep updated with relevant training including all DET requirements
- Complete Compass issue tracker requests
- Assist with onsite event setup and coordination where required
- Other duties as negotiated with Business Manager and Principal.
