The Victorian Government is looking to leverage new technologies to deliver better outcomes for citizens as well as address key challenges such as staffing shortages, growing costs, reduce legacy, and rising citizen expectations. Technologies such as artificial intelligence are providing endless opportunities to transform Government services. Cyber attacks are on the rise, and Government organisations need to become more resilient in order to protect the privacy of their citizen data.

As the Microsoft Account Technology Strategist, you are a key member of the Victorian Government account team and you help your customers develop strategies to address these opportunities and challenges by leveraging Microsoft’s technologies, resources and ecosystem. You will be working with a virtual team of specialists focused on the Government industry, Microsoft partners, and independent software vendors.

This Microsoft Account Technology Strategist for Victorian Government role is perfect for someone who is passionate about the public sector and thrives working with business leaders and technical teams alike, while leveraging your industry, business and technical acumen. **Qualifications**:

- There will be many opportunities for you to learn and grow into this role and Microsoft. However, to be able to best deliver on the purpose of this role, these are the core skills and experiences you should have on day one:

- Experience working with customers to drive digital transformation in a technical consulting or technical sales role. It would be valuable if this is with customers such as government departments and agencies, but not essential.
- An understanding of how to build a technical strategy and roadmap, gaining executive buy in and orchestrating a team to execute against that plan.

**Responsibilities**:

- The purpose of the Account Technology Strategist is to support the digital transformation of our Government departments and agencies through the adoption of Microsoft technologies. In partnership with the Account Executive, you will set the strategy to drive your customer’s innovation agenda, ideate with them and inspire them around the possibilities that technology can provide.

As the Account Technology Strategist you will have the opportunity to own and strengthen executive customer relationships, work as a thought leader, create long term strategies linking business, technology and industry needs, and orchestrate teams of technical specialists across Microsoft and our partner network to provide the right solutions to your customer.

You will help define the customer's technology roadmap and create an execution plan to help deliver on the defined initiatives and grow the Microsoft solutions adopted in their environment.
