About the role
- You'll be working closely with other disciplines across technology, analytics and UX to develop and implement content strategies for client’s websites, the Content Strategist both leads and implements the proposed recommendations, overseeing content writers both in-house and in the clients’ organisation.

Content strategy is a fundamental practice which ensures our client’s owned digital presence is optimised to contribute to meeting their goals.

**The role a Content Strategist plays is as follows**:

- Leverage existing brand guidelines and facilitate workshops to develop a digital tone of voice for the organisation
- Conduct website audits to determine whether content is fit for purpose, on-brand and succinct. Work with data analysts to provide quantitative evidence to support recommendations
- Conduct competitor and comparator reviews and use a SWOT framework to report on the findings and make recommendations
- Create a strategy for an organisation's digital content. Provide recommendations and execute strategies for content development in line with organisational goals
- Consult on the development of a website’s Information Architecture, using search data to inform labelling and content decisions and advising what content to create/remove/consolidate

Work with clients and our Delivery teams to ensure that content pipelines are created as early as possible in a project, with clearly defined responsibilities for content creation.
- Work with clients and Delivery teams in an agile manner to ensure that content creation happens regularly, and early, during a projects lifecycle.
- Create component guides for digital assets to ensure the correct usage of components and a clear understanding of how to write content for them

**Skills and experience -**
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills
- At least 3 years relevant work experience in a marketing, communications or content role
- An ability to work autonomously and take responsibility for work tasks and projects
- Intellectually curious and creative, highly motivated, responsible, and able to work independently and as part of a team
- The ability to understand the needs of consumers and target audiences
