**The Role**
The COORD MGR provides high level support to the Commanding Officer to facilitate the effective, efficient, and ethical compliance with security and procurement governance, and coordination of events.
Leads and manages the Coordination Cell APS 4 COORD OFFR.

The primary duties of the COORD MGR:

- Unit Security Officer (USO). Responsible to the CO for Security Governance Assurance Stream. Conducts routine USO tasks including unit compliance with statutory directives, building Security Zone compliance, vetting, and support to individual mounting for operations.
- Unit Procurement Officer. Maintains a Defence Purchasing Card and is responsible for all unit-level procurement. Manages unit databases and ensures procurement is compliant with relevant financial instructions and directives.
- Support to Conferences and important unit activities. Provides tailored support to Command Conferences and Headquarters-level activities, including JTF 629 Mounting, and includes the coordination of venue bookings, rations, and transport.
- The COORD MGR’s normal place of duty is Randwick Barracks. Flexible work arrangements will be considered.
- The COORD MGR may be required to work on Tuesday evening SERCAT 5 parade nights and weekends in support of quarterly Command Conferences.
- They may be offered Force Assignment to JTF 629 in support of Domestic operations.

**About our Team**
The organisation maintains the command and control of both the Army’s 2nd Division and Joint Task Force 629 (JTF 629).

The 2nd Division is one of the ADF’s largest functional commands and is responsible for leading domestic operations.

The Coordination Cell (COORD Cell) sits within the Command Support Directorate which is responsible for the provision of direct staff support to the Commander 2nd Division, and compliance with governance across the Division, JTF 629, and the Headquarters.

The COORD Cell is an important function that encompasses the primary responsibilities that enable the Headquarters to operate effectively. The output of the cell includes facilities management and the functions of security and procurement.

The cell is focused on supporting the Commanding Officer and the Command and staff of the Headquarters to meet its primary role in support of the Division and JTF 629 domestic operations.

Experience in similar roles is valued but not essential.

Importantly, they must work and collaborate effectively with other staff and stakeholders to support the conduct of conferences and events, and achieve collective goals.

They must demonstrate leadership and management skills to ensure the COORD Cell can operate effectively in a dynamic work environment and meet directed tasks.

They should be motivated to continually improve their professional skills.

They should have Defence Secret Environment access and must have a security clearance of a minimum of NV1.
