**Salary**:$92,641 to $106,538 per annum + 11.5% superannuation
Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive Council committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney. We are seeking a motivated, experienced and dynamic Place Coordinator to join our Economic Development team.
This role works with a team to help develop and support a vibrant business network across the LGA of Randwick City. Working collaboratively with businesses and key partners, the Place Coordinator helps deliver exciting placemaking opportunities and activations that celebrate our town centres and promote the local & visitor economy.
**About the role**:
- Build strong relationships with local businesses and stakeholders
- Develop and implement a range of capacity building and networking initiatives to support and promote local businesses & Randwick as a destination
- Coordinate a program of engaging activations within Randwick City’s town centres
- Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies to promote local businesses and the economy
- Identify and respond to emerging trends and opportunities within the local business community
- Deliver within budgets and evaluate and report on program outcomes
**About you**:
- A good understanding of economic development and placemaking trends and ideas, and an understanding of the needs of small businesses
- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and building relationships
- Excellent project management skills and experience in delivering successful initiatives
- Strong communication skills
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in events and/or place-management, community/arts/economic development, community engagement, communications and/or equivalent relevant industry experience.
