Immediately available Workshop Manager role available in the Illawarra within the manufacturing industry

**Your new company**
Our client is a distribution and manufacturing company based in the Illawarra and currently needs an experienced Workshop Manager from a similar background to join their team.

**Your new role**
- Manage the allocation of work within the local team to ensure schedule is met or prioritised as directed
- Take a pro-active hands-on approach to improve workshop output quality
- Identify and implementing continuous improvement processes
- Coach, develop and mentor new and existing team members
- Perform independent inspections, service and repair of equipment predominantly within the Illawarra workshop
- Review engineering drawings and to interpret requirements as needed
- Proficiently use inspection equipment to correctly inspect your own and others, quality control internal and incoming work
- Provide back-up to the stores department when required

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Trade Qualification
- Previous experience as a workshop Supervisor or Team Leader
- Experience within the seal / rotating equipment or pump industry
- Proven ability to coach, lead, develop and assist technicians to a high standard
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite in particular Excel
- SAP experience will be highly regarded
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills (verbal and written)
- High attention to detail
