We are seeking a Change Manager** **for a 3 -month full time contract with one of our government clients. The Change Manager plays a key role in the successful delivery of cyber security projects across DEECA by proactively managing the organisational change management activities for projects. This involves maximising the benefits of organisational change by identifying the impact on people, getting them ready for change and handling any resistance to change. Accountabilities - Lead and plan the change management activity for the project including providing the project management team with advice on the activities and effort required to successfully undertake the organisational change. - Proactively manage and be responsible for successful delivery of organisational change management activities including stakeholder analysis, change impact assessments, gap analyses, communication and engagement plans, business and change readiness, implementation and support plans, change effectiveness, post-implementation reviews, and status reports. - Establish and maintain strong, collaborative and productive working relationships with project stakeholders within and external to the department, supported by clear, timely, informative and appropriate communications. - Identify risks and resistance to organisational change, develop and implement management strategies to prevent or minimise the impacts to the project. - Utilise the most appropriate techniques and materials to successfully achieve organisational change for the project. - Develop and maintain appropriately detailed project artefacts throughout the lifecycle of a project, ensuring they meet the agreed quality standards and fulfil the department's ICT project reporting needs to support effective governance and audit requirements. - Demonstrate ownership through the proactive identification, analysis and remediation of issues that prevent project outputs or business outcomes from being met. - Contribute to the cultivation of a strong commitment to excellent customer and service delivery. - Practice cultural safety by creating environments, relationships and systems free from racism and discrimination so that people can feel safe, valued and able to participate. Key Selection Criteria The key selection criteria specified below outline the capabilities required for the position. **Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications** - Formal qualifications in organisational change management, communications or a related field are desirable - Significant demonstrated experience in successful organisational change management delivery for ICT projects is desirable, preferably more than 8 years - Demonstrated experience working with a variety of project delivery methodologies, such as Agile, Iterative and Waterfall will be highly regarded. - **Consultancy**: Assists customers to clarify their business problem and needs. Clarifies expectations of the project's scope, roles, and outcomes. Responds flexibly to the customer's changing business Environment and needs. Develops practical & fit-for-purpose solutions to complex problems. Provides expert advice to customers on ICT Project Delivery. Liaises regularly with customers to manage expectations and service satisfaction. - **Change Analysis**: Assesses the business impacts of the proposed change, taking into consideration the business and technical impacts and any business activities required to integrate new processes or jobs into the "business as usual" environment. Assists the user community through the transition period and liaises with the project team and stakeholders for change planning activities. **Capabilities** - **Digital and Technological Literacy**: Integrate digital and technological developments in the design and delivery of relevant policies, programs and services. - **Influence and Persuasion**: Adapt the content style and message or tone of communications to suit the audience to gain agreement to proposals & idea using an effective written and verbal communication skills. - **Communicates with Impact**:Use various communication media to convey information, ideas, and insights in ways that maximises understanding of key messages; Possesses good written and verbal communication skills. - **Stakeholder Management**:Identify stakeholders impacted by decisions, takes steps to keep interested parties engaged while managing expectations on outcomes. - **Lead and Navigate Change**:Articulate changes required, support individuals to successfully adopt change and achieve organisational goals. **HOW TO APPLY**: Please submit your resume (in MS Word Format) for consideration via the link below.
